Genmillers and 3rd Party Employees Unite for a Life-Saving Cause

Last July 26, 2024, the General Milling Corporation (GMC), in partnership with the Department
of Health (DOH) Region 7 Subnational Unit and the Lapu-Lapu City Health Office, successfully
hosted a Mobile Blood Donation and AIDS/HIV Screening Activity at the GMC Activity Center
from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Employees from various departments, alongside 3rd party employees, enthusiastically participated in the event, demonstrating their commitment to making a difference. The spirit of solidarity was evident as volunteers rolled up their sleeves to donate blood, knowing that their contributions could offer someone a second chance at life.

Medical professionals from the DOH and the City Health Office ensured that the process was safe and efficient. In addition to blood donation, free AIDS/HIV screenings were made available, promoting awareness and early detection. The event also served as an excellent opportunity to educate participants on the importance of regular health checks and preventive measures.

Together, we save lives. Together, we make a difference.

To express gratitude for their generous contributions, successful donors received food packages
provided by the Lapu-Lapu City Government. This token of appreciation served as a reminder of
the invaluable role each donor played in saving lives and supporting community health
initiatives.

Together, we save lives. Together, we make a difference.

Together, we save lives. Together, we make a difference.

Together, we save lives. Together, we make a difference.

General Milling Corporation extends its heartfelt thanks to all the participants, the medical teams, and the local government for making this noble endeavor a resounding success. Let us continue to uphold the spirit of “malasakit” and support initiatives that promote the well-being of our community.
